4. External Portals and Links
East Haven record portals, Connecticut agencies, courts, libraries, and sponsored search tools each operate under their own terms and privacy rules. We do not control or accept responsibility for an outside service's content, availability, prices, or data practices.
5. No Warranties
The service is supplied "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that a page is accurate, complete, or current, or that an outside portal will remain available or produce a correct result.

7. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operators from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short attributed excerpt is welcome. Republishing complete pages or copying the material systematically is not permitted.
9. Changes to These Terms
A revised version may be posted on this page. Continued use after the revision is posted means that you accept the updated terms.
10. Restricting Access
We may block or limit access for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service. That action may be taken at our discretion and without advance notice.
11. Connecticut Law
These terms are governed by Connecticut law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Questions about access to East Haven or other public-agency records are governed by the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act, Conn. Gen. Stat. ch. 14, §§ 1-200 through 1-242, especially §§ 1-210, 1-212, and 1-213. Those provisions address inspection and exemptions, copying and fees, and computer-stored data. See the Connecticut FOIA text.
Where its scope reaches a covered business, Connecticut's Data Privacy Act, Public Act 22-15, also governs consumer privacy rights. That statute does not make this private reference the custodian of a Town Clerk, Assessor, court, voter, or vital record.
12. Severability
If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
