Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Our own servers do not keep a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the content of your message and use it to respond to that inquiry.
Routine Technical Logs
Our hosting service records ordinary technical details such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which reference pages are used. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when enabled, advertising measurement.
How We Use the Information
We use limited information to run the pages, troubleshoot faults, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual user profiles from the information described here.
Links and Outside Providers
Pages may link to the East Haven Town Clerk, Assessor and other Connecticut record systems, Hagaman Memorial Library, archives, courts, and third-party search tools. Once you leave these pages, the destination's privacy policy controls what you submit there. Sponsored results are supplied by a third party and follow that provider's terms.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical service providers may process the server logs needed to operate the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above when those tools are active. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is not shared beyond the purposes stated here.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection. Technical logs are retained only for as long as the operating and measurement purposes above require. Because there are no site accounts, this service does not maintain a password or user profile for you.
Visitors Under 18
The reference service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, use the Contact page so it can be reviewed and deleted when appropriate.
Connecticut Privacy Choices
Where it applies, Connecticut's Data Privacy Act, Public Act 22-15, effective July 1, 2023, gives qualifying consumers rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data, learn categories of third parties, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or profiling. Covered businesses generally respond within 45 days, with a possible 45-day extension; an appeal decision is generally due within 60 days. Covered businesses must honor universal opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control beginning January 1, 2025. The Act has exemptions, including government records and many government functions.
Because this service keeps very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to ask. East Haven records held by the Town Clerk, Assessor, Registrar, courts, or another public custodian are outside our control. Access, exemptions, copying fees, and computer-stored data are governed by Connecticut FOIA, Conn. Gen. Stat. ch. 14, §§ 1-200 through 1-242, especially §§ 1-210, 1-212, and 1-213. See the Connecticut FOIA text and contact the custodian or FOI Commission for the proper route.
